It has been announced that The Final Whistle in Southwell is the Nottinghamshire CAMRA Pub of the Year for the second year running.

The pub came out on top when judged against the nationally set criteria from the five pubs submitted by the CAMRA branches in Nottinghamshire. All the entries were of exceptional standard, with the runner-up being the Mallard in Worksop.

The entries were:

Brown Cow, Mansfield (Mansfield & Ashfield) Final Whistle, Southwell (Newark) Mallard, Worksop (North Notts) Old Green Dragon, Oxton (Nottingham) Wheatsheaf, Bingham (Vale of Belvoir)

Congratulations to everyone at the Final Whistle. They now progress to the regional round of judging, which will take place in the summer.
