A proposal to form a sub-branch covering the Derbyshire part of our branch area to the west of the M1, centred around South Normanton, was put forward at our AGM in July, and at our August full branch meeting, we agreed to informally trial a sub-branch until the end of the calendar year, to see whether it might improve engagement by members in that area who have xpressed difficulty attending meeting etc. in the wider branch.

A first informal meeting of the trial sub-branch will be held at the Market Tavern, South Normanton, on Monday, 20th October at 8.00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, and an event has been added to our website's branch diary and shared on our social media in an effort to promote it.
