July Social - Heanor Pubs

Saturday 12 July 2025

After the success of our Eastwood out-of-branch social by public transport earlier this year, we're heading to Heanor on Saturday 12th for our July social to see what the pubs around the town have to offer.

The best travel option is the TrentBarton 33 bus which leaves Mansfield hourly, travelling through Sutton and Kirkby. The last bus back leaves Heanor at 17:25.

To get to maximise our time in Heanor with plenty of time to enjoy everything, we will be suggesting taking the 11:32 from Mansfield Bus Station, which calls at Sutton (opposite Crown and Woolpack) at 11:46 and Kirkby (Ellis Street) at 11:58, arriving at Heanor Marketplace at 12:33. However, for anyone unable to come along that early, the bus does run depart hourly thereafter that.

We will be meeting up initially at the Crown Inn, which the bus route passes just before Heanor (alight at Hands Road) – staying until around 13:15 whilst we await others potentially joining us. We will then wait at the Crown Inn between 12:30 - 13:15, whilst we wait for others to join us and then make our way to other pubs around Heanor in the following order:

Angry Bee Redemption Ale House Dead Man's Tankard Hop Wright Inn Crafty Tap

We will aim to spend approximately 45 - 60 minutes at each pub, however, we that may be longer vary depending on how popular the pub is, or if we take a particular liking to the beers on offer. We will update our location throughout the day via our social channels.

Return buses are at 25 minutes past the hour until 17.25. The full timetable can be found on our Bus Routes page.
