Could you encourage and motivate young people to join in the Campaign?

The branch is currently without a Young Member's Contact. Could you help to recruit young members, arrange social activities for them and engage with them to promote real ale and cider?

The role involves:

- Developing and implementing ideas, events and promotions to recruit new young members.
- Arranging social events for young members.
- Encouraging young members to volunteer at CAMRA beer & cider festivals – offering training and experience that could be useful for their CVs.
- Encouraging links between CAMRA, students and student organisations – promoting CAMRA in places popular with potential young members.

The role is recommended for those who qualify as Young Members (18-30) but is open to anyone who feels they could be effective. Good interpersonal, writing and communication skills are highly desirable, especially on social media, so a smartphone, tablet/computer and internet access are necessary.

The role can take up as much time as you are prepared to give and participation at branch meetings is very useful.
